Mayor Kevin Ashe has proudly called Pickering home for over 55 years. Following in the footsteps of his late father, George Ashe, Pickering’s first mayor.

Kevin has dedicated his life to public service and community-building.

First elected as City Councillor in 2003, and later as Regional Councillor, Mayor Ashe has spent over two decades working for Pickering residents. In 2022, he was elected Mayor, bringing a renewed focus on job creation, infrastructure investment, and smart growth.

Throughout his career, Mayor Ashe has championed mental health awareness, youth engagement, and inclusive policies.

He’s served on the school board, non-profit boards, and continues to be a visible, responsive leader who listens to residents.

Under his leadership, Pickering is thriving. With new housing options, growing employment opportunities, and vibrant community spaces.

Mayor Ashe is running for re-election in 2026 to keep Pickering moving forward and continue building a city that is inclusive, connected, and full of opportunity for everyone.
